Frequently asked questions.

What do you do in your meetings?

Our gatherings are very informal and welcoming. We always listen to what God may want to do and it usually includes praying with one another, worship, chat, eating and drinking. All are welcome, you can participate at whichever level is comfortable for you.

Who can come to a meeting?

All are welcome to our meetings, you don’t need to have any particular belief system to be part of the gathering although you may want to read our vision statement to see where we’re coming from. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to find out more!

What about my kids?

Kids are welcome to attend our Sunday gatherings which are very informal and include some sort of activities to keep them busy & interested. We also run kids’ church periodically through the year - a sort of after-school club with a cooked meal, fun & games and teaching!

What else do you do?

We have a variety of other events and activities, these will be updated on the home page. We are available to listen to you, to pray with you, to connect with you.

What is ‘The Harbour, Totterdown’?

In August 2024 we purchased the building formerly known as ‘Totterdown Methodist Church’ and re-branded it as ‘The Harbour Totterdown’. We have a vision to develop the building into a vibrant community hub and want to clarify the distinction between ‘church’ (which we see as the people with whom we gather) and ‘building’ (which is one of the material resources we have available to us). Head over to the website to find out more!
